Poonam Kasturi of the Daily Dump visited along with people from the Daily Dump & Yogi. All helped us with transplanting the saplings from the nursery – the tomatoes, Taleigaon brinjal, the lettuce and the chilies.

Aphids attacked our Cluster Beans (Chidki Midki) and the Hyacinth Beans (Val). The little brown / black pests have vexed us. (UPDATE : On Yogi’s guidance we sprayed Vikarsha, an organic pesticide, on the plants every five days. The cluster beans have been doing good. The val’s not.

Our experiment with growing vegetables – We decided to rip out part of our lawn to grow organic vegetables. Helped by Yogita Mehra and Karan Manral of Yogi Farms this is a photoblog chronicle of the experiment. Started on 31st January 2012. The seeds were planted on the 1st of February 2012.
